On March 17th, on the eve of the European Brain Health Day, the first meeting of the EBRAINS-PL Consortium Governing Board took place. During the meeting, the Presidium of the Board was elected for a three-year term, including chairman Prof. Michal Nowicki from the Poznan Medical University and two vice-chairs - Prof. Daniel Wójcik from the Nencki Institute and Prof. Monika Adamczyk-Sowa from the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. The Consortium's coordinator is Dr. Cezary Mazurek from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. EBRAINS-PL is an initiative bringing together Polish scientists, clinicians, and experts in modern information technologies who are jointly developing an advanced digital research infrastructure for brain sciences. The Consortium's activities align with global efforts to better understand brain function and work for better understanding of neurodegenerative diseases
