EMBO Core Facility Fellowship for dr. Milena Wiech

Dr. Milena Wiech got an EMBO Core Facility fellowship for the scientific exchange between the Laboratory of Cytometry at the Nencki Institute led by Katarzyna Piwocka and the Flow Cytometry Core Facility at the ETH Zurich led by Florian Mair.

The visit will give an opportunity to expand the knowledge, expertise and the usage of the state-of-the art technology for research discoveries and translational projects. Specifically, it will facilitate a deeper understanding of antigen presenting cells (APCs) biology and their multiparameter phenotypic and functional characterisation, using advanced spectral cytometry and bioinformatics. The newly obtained skills and highly advanced applications will be transferred to home institution and broader to our collaborators. Importantly, such exchange between research core facilities will build a strong network and base for further future activities.

EMBO Core Facility Fellowships fund visits between core research facilities that provide service to research institutions or universities.
