For the first time Nencki Institute hosted the EMBO Sectoral Meeting, focused on metabolism and lipid biology. It was organized by Grzegorz Sumara from Nencki Institute PAN and Karolina Szczepanowska from IMol PAN. The meeting was dedicated to discuss recent advances in the field of cell metabolism. Laureates of the EMBO Young Investigator Program, EMBO Installation Grants, and EMBO Global Investigator Network as well as selected members of their research groups met at the Nencki Institute on the 21^st and 22^nd of May 2024. 15 research groups from 8 countries (Poland, Germany, UK, Czech Republic, Spain, Denmark, India and Japan) presented their recent achievements.

Nencki Institute proudly hosts 5 current and former EMBO Installation Grantees: Grzegorz Sumara, Aleksandra Pękowska, Adam Kłosin, Dorota Włoga, and Agnieszka Dobrzyń. We hope, EMBO Sectoral Meetings will become signature events in the Nencki Institute.
