Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission granted dr Alicja Puścian a STEM Impact Award 2023. The award recognizes outstanding scientists leading projects in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) disciplines and supports them in sharing their expertise with U.S. partners.

In collaboration with prof. Dan Ariely, a founder of the Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University, dr Alicja Puścian will be developing new avenues for integrating cutting-edge, neuroscience with behavioral economics.

The project aims at understanding how socially close individuals influence each other’s preferences and how it impacts their behavior. The study will focus on the neuronal representation of these processes tested under semi-naturalistic conditions.
