On 1st March 2018, the Inauguration Ceremony of Multidisciplinary Phd Studies Tri-Bio-Chem ‘Chemistry and BioInnovation for Better Life’ took place in Marie Sklodowska-Curie hall at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University (UW). The Tri-Bio-Chem PhD studies were established, based on the partnership agreement between the Nencki Institute, the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University (UW), and Faculty of Chemistry of the Technical University of Warsaw (PW), within POWER 3.2. programme, financed by the National Center for Research and Development. At the ceremony, the first 16 PhD students, took an academic pledge in front of prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyn, Director of the Nencki Institute, prof. Zbigniew Rogulski, vice-dean of the Faculty of Chemistry UW, and prof. Aldona Zalewska, Head of PhD Studies of the Faculty of Chemistry PW. Achieving a PhD degree within three disciplines: biology, chemistry and technical sciences, will provide unique opportunities of towards establishing a strong career path and enhancing scientific development.
