SPARK Europe Webinar Series 2026

Translational Pharmacology: Can we get more from our animal studies?

14 January 2026 | 4 – 5 pm (CEST) | Webinar

Preclinical studies are fundamental to drug development, yet animal models often fall short in predicting human outcomes. The webinar will explore strategies to improve translational relevance through real-world examples and existing industry projects, emphasizing the need to address pharmacokinetics early to better understand its role in a molecule’s activity.

Participants will gain insight into how more meaningful and translatable data can be generated from pharmacology studies by rethinking experimental design and the key questions being asked. The lecture will highlight why in vitro and in vivo pharmacology should be viewed as a connected continuum rather than as separate, independent efforts. Finally, it will demonstrate how focusing on the relationship between drug exposure and biological activity can improve target engagement and ultimately drive therapeutic efficacy.

SPARK Europe invites you to join our webinar on 14 January 2026 at 16:00 CEST to gain insights from Dr Anita Mathias, a seasoned drug developer with over 20 years of experience and a proven record of advancing multiple molecules into market-leading products. She brings extensive expertise in clinical development and global regulatory strategy, and has represented sponsors at numerous FDA Advisory Committees and Scientific Advisory Boards.

The webinar, hosted by SPARK FLI, will be held online via Zoom - please register here by 12 January 2026.
