Professorial nominations to Wioletta Waleszczyk

In a ceremony at the Presidential Palace on October 26th 2017, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda handed professorial nominations. In the group of nominated academics, workers of science and art was prof. Wioletta Waleszczyk from the Nencki Institute.

Prof. Wioletta Waleszczyk is a head of Laboratory of Visual Neurobiology. Her research team carries out study on mechanisms of information processing and plasticity in the visual system. The laboratory carries out also translational studies which concern rehabilitation of visual dysfunctions with a use of various methods: visual training, non-invasive current stimulation and gene therapy.

Prof. Waleszczyk also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Acta Neurobiologiae Experimentalis.
