On the 17th-19th, 2020 November, a Symposium will be held, starting the 4th Art & Science project “Art of Origin of Life" organized by the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Nencki Foundation for Supporting Biological Sciences and the Nencki Art Collection. The 4th Art & Science “Art of Origin of Life” project refers to the aesthetics of fundamental biological phenomena accompanying the emergence of life in the universe. Additionally, the Symposium will also present philosophical concepts relating to the phenomenon of the origin of life .

The lecturers at the Symposium (presentations in Polish) will be scientists from the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology of the University of Rzeszów, the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Rzeszów, the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań and NASA Project participants include the following artists Kamila Bednarska, Patrycja Longawa, Antoni Nikiel, Marek Adam Olszyński, Mirosław Pawłowski, Magdalena Uchman, Piotr Woroniec Jr.

Art works created under the 4th Art & Science project “Art of Origin of Life" will be presented during exhibitions organized in galleries in Poland and abroad, and some of the works will be donated to the Nencki Art Collection.
