Nencki Institute received the prestigious "R&D IMPACT" Award for its research and development activities, impact on society and economic progress, and implementation of innovative projects, the results of which significantly contribute to the development of biological sciences.

The Institute was recognized for the implementation of two projects:

"SONAR: A rapid high-throughput strategy for identification of SARS-CoV-2" and

"A novel, comprehensive and highly specific therapy for gliomas (Gliator)".

The award was presented on May 20, 2022, at a gala ceremony held at Olivia Business Centre in Gdansk.

The mission of the R&D Impact Award is to strengthen the prestige and to build a positive and interesting image of science, technological thought, and authors of social innovations among a wide range of public opinion and to increase public awareness of the contemporary achievements of Polish innovators.
