The National Science Centre grants for the Nencki Institute

The National Science Centre has announced the ranking lists of projects approved for funding in OPUS 19 and PRELUDIUM 19 calls. Scientists from the Nencki Institute received financial support for 7 research projects.

 

OPUS

Dr Anna Róża Malik - VPS10P domain receptors in phenotypic polarization of astrocytes and microglia in the diseased brain.

Prof. Jakub Włodarczyk (Grant implemented in consortium with Maj Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy of Sciences – Principal Investigator - dr hab. Bernadeta Szewczyk) - Zinc deficient diet as a trigger for treatment-resistant depression in chronically stressed mice. Understanding the mechanisms of treatment-resistant depression and overcoming it.

Dr hab. Małgorzata Zofia Zawadzka - Modulation of the injured nerve microenvironment to support axon regeneration and spinal cord motoneuron survival - molecular mechanisms and functional implications.

mgr Krystian Robert Bijata - New chapter in a long story - The role of monoamine oxidases palmitoylation during chronic stress

mgr Łukasz Damian Bijoch - In vivo and ex vivo tracking the cocaine’s mechanism of action in the medial part of the central amygdala

mgr inż. Anna Ida Głowacka - Molecular and ultrastructural changes in neuromuscular junction after complete spinal cord transection and spinal BDNF overexpression.

mgr Milena Krajewska - Application of polymer nanodiscs to isolate and characterize membrane protein complexes between mitochondrial respiratory chain and potassium channels
