This Łukasz Bożycki defended the 2012 title which he won for a photograph entitled „A dance for two on water”. "Mother of all evil” has also been qualified for the final of the competition organised by the International Federation of Wildlife Photography, IFWP. Results will be announced in the last weekend of April.

This is what Łukasz says about himself: “Warsaw resident by birth, biologist by education, nature enthusiast, medical rescuer by profession, rationalist. I love to sleep long but at the same time I am a sunrise buff. I view photographs as a chance to accumulate great memories for old years spent in a rocking chair. I believe that photographs ought to provoke instead of showing what is already known. No great power or magic is needed to recreate what has already been shown in a picture. What is magical is seeing the world in a completely new, individual way.”
