The first meeting of the initiative “Ochota na Naukę” entitled “Microscopy – another dimension of reality” took place at the Nencki Institute on Thuesday (November 18th). Over 50 undergraduate students participated in the meeting. After short introduction by Prof. Krzysztof Zablocki the members of the Laboratory of Imaging Tissue Structure and Function (Hanna Sas-Nowosielska, PhD; Natalia Nowak, MSc; Wojciech Brutkowski, PhD; Tytus Bernaś, PhD) presented short lectures regarding different aspects of microscopy. Next, the participants had a workshop at the Laboratory of Imaging Tissue Structure and Function, where different types of microscopes were demonstrated.
