Prof. Paweł Dobrzyń and Dr. Volodymyr Balatskyi (Laboratory of Molecular Medical Biochemistry, Nencki Institute) together with scientists from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the NASU, Ukraine (Prof. Oksana Piven and Dr. Larysa Macewicz) received the award of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the best achievements in the field of biological and medical sciences by scientists from both Academies. The award is granted once in five years for the best common research project carried out by scientists from Poland and Ukraine in the fields of social sciences and humanities, biological and medical sciences and science and engineering.
