IMAGING: ART AND SCIENCE IN DISCOVERING THE INVISIBLE: Interfaculty Student Exhibition at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS
For the second time, the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw invite you to an exhibition summarizing a project carried out as part of the Warsaw Science Festival.
Once again, the natural sciences became a source of inspiration for young artists, including meetings with researchers and visits to laboratories, such as the Brain Imaging Laboratory. The resulting works, created using various techniques, are a visual expression of the search for what art and science have in common – a fascination with discovering the invisible.
Two lectures will accompany the exhibition opening:
- The many faces of the brain – the art of imaging neurons
hab. Marzena Stefaniuk, Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS in Warsaw - Discovering the invisible – on the use of X-rays in the analysis of historical textiles
hab. Monika Stachurska, Faculty of Artistic Research and Curatorial Studies
