Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in biology, biomedicine, biotechnology, biochemistry, laboratory medicine, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine,
- Prior experience working in a biological laboratory and familiarity with commonly used laboratory techniques (cell culture, Western blot),
- Previous experience working with animals will be an asset,
- Proficient command of English; excellent organizational skills, particularly in time management,
- Proactive approach to completing tasks and objectives,
- Interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
Project description:
Research and Development (NCBR), entitled “Development of PKD2 kinase inhibitors for novel therapeutic strategies to treat hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis.”
Our research focuses on understanding the molecular and metabolic mechanisms driving atherosclerosis progression. The aim of the project is to develop a selective compound that, when administered orally, will effectively reduce cholesterol and triacylglycerol levels and prevent atherosclerotic plaque formation in a mouse model.
As part of the project, the laboratory technician will support key experimental activities. She/he will be responsible, among others, for cell culture, protein isolation and analysis, and working with laboratory mice (genotyping, weighing, performing metabolic and biochemical assays, and tissue collection and processing).
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop advanced laboratory skills, gain hands-on experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and in vivo research, and contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive research team and participate in a project with strong translational potential.
Employment conditions:
- Full-time work contract,
- Duration of contract: for up to 33 months (until 30 September 2028),
