Position in the project: Master student, starting from 01.11.2024
Scientific discipline:  cell biophysics, molecular biology, genomics
Stipend amount/month: 3000 PLN net
Period of stipend agreement: 17 months

Project title:      Microfluidics assisted studies of molecular pathway leading to stress-induced synaptic plasticity

Key responsibilities:     

  1. Experimental work:
    a. development of novel assay for single-cell protein palmitoylation: combination of proximity ligation assay and transcriptome profiling, for characterization of posttranslational modifications of synaptic proteins
    b. development of molecular biology protocols for single-nucleus genomics assays in droplet microfluidics format
  2. Analysis and publication of the obtained results, Master thesis preparation

 

Profile of a candidate/requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology or related fields.
  2. At least 5 months of research experience in molecular biology.
