Konorski Award and Parnas Award for Prof. Bozena Kaminska’s team

The publication of scientists from the Nencki Institute, carried out under the direction of Prof. Bozena Kaminska-Kaczmarek, entitled: Single-cell RNA sequencing reveals functional heterogeneity of glioma-associated brain macrophages, received two prestigious awards for the best Polish original publication published in 2021: Jerzy Konorski Award and JK Parnas Award.

The Jerzy Konorski Prize is awarded on the initiative of the Polish Neuroscience Society and the Committee of Neurobiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, for the best work in neuroscience done in Poland.

The Jakub Karol Parnas Prize is awarded by the Polish Biochemical Society, for the best experimental work in biochemistry or molecular biology done entirely in a laboratory in Poland.

The award-winning paper was published in Nature Communication, and its authors are:

Natalia Ochocka, Pawel Segit, Kacper Adam Walentynowicz, Kamil Wojnicki, Salvador Cyranowski, Julian Swatler, Jakub Mieczkowski & Bozena Kaminska.
