Prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, together with Izabela Stępień Director of the Department of Science MNiSW and Izabela Najda-Jędrzejewska, Deputy Director of the Department of Innowation and Development MNiSW, visited the Nencki Institute. The visit began with a meeting with Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyn, Director of the Institute, Prof. Monika Liguz-Lęcznar and Prof. Krzysztof Nieznański, Deputy Directors for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Jerzy Duszyński, former President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The purpose of the meeting was to present the achievements of the Nencki Institute in the field of scientific research and its commercialization, review the prospects for the Institute's development, and discuss plans for further cooperation between the Nencki Institute and MNiSW. Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyn presented the Institute's latest infrastructure investments, including, in particular, the National Center for Imaging in Biological and Biomedical Sciences BioPixel (https://biopixel.eu/)
The Minister also had the opportunity to visit the three laboratories of the Nencki Institute: Cytometry, Brain Imaging, and Microscopy, get acquainted with their advanced research equipment and talk to the scientists conducting research there.
Minister Maria Mrówczyńska's visit to the Nencki Institute is an important step in building a dialogue between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the scientific community of the Polish Academy of Sciences, crucial to the effective development of Polish science and innovation.
