New Laboratory of Neuroinformatics at the Nencki Institute

Prof. Wójcik’s lab will develop methods and tools to analyze data and use them to understand information processing in the nervous system. The main focus of the lab is functioning of early levels of sensory systems, in particular thalamo-cortical loop, but other systems will also be studied. The group will concentrate on the development of methods for analysis of electrophysiological data it will also consider fMRI and behavioral data. An important part of the lab activity is development of neuroinformatics infrastructure for storage and processing of histological information and development of tools for creation of three-dimensional brain atlases from different input sources. One of our goals is providing theoretical and computational support to neurophysiologists. We are happy to share our expertise and are open for collaboration.
