I would like to cordially invite you to the next Nencki Institute Seminar, which will take place exceptionally on Wednesday, June 25th, at noon in the CN lecture Hall.

We will host Professor Rafael Casellas, who leads the Laboratory of B cell Biology and Nanotherapies at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, in the United States.

Prof. Casellas has a long-standing interest in the development of new technologies to address human disorders (e.g., Xu et al., 2021 Nature) and in transcriptional regulation (e.g., El Khattabi et al., 2019 Cell).

In his talk entitled: IDR evolution controls transcription activation in mammals,

Prof. Casellas will present how the evolution of the intrinsically disordered region of the cohesion loader Nipbl helps tie molecular machinery orchestrating chromatin structure and transcriptional regulation.

A get-together will follow the lecture.
