Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń, Director of the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS, has been appointed as a member of the Programme Board of the Polish Science Contact Agency "PolSCA" in Brussels, for the 2019-2022 term of office. The cooperation of Polish embassies and diplomatic posts with foreign stations of PAS in the area of science promotion is the result of an agreement between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The mission of "PolSCA", established in 2005, is to promote, facilitate and foster participation of the entire Polish R&D community in European projects and initiatives, and in particular - to reinforce the position of Poland in European Union framework programmes.
Its main goals include: promotion and support of polish partners in European Union's framework programmes, cooperation with our counterparts from European countries - members of IGLO network, cooperation with The Polish National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU, organisation of events to exchange ideas among Polish scientists and representatives of international research communities based in Brussels including employees of the European Commission and the European Parliament and monitoring of the EU research and innovation policies.
