On January 9–10, 2026, the 1st Founding Meeting of the Polish Society of Neuro-oncology was held in Bydgoszcz, during which Prof. Bożena Kamińska-Kaczmarek from the Nencki Institute was elected president for a two-year term. The event was attended by 160 people, representatives of basic sciences (10 from the Nencki Institute) and clinicians from centers in Poland and abroad. Over 50 lectures on central nervous system tumors were delivered. The high scientific quality of the proceedings was associated with lively discussions and intensive exchange of experiences. This interdisciplinary meeting will be the beginning of many joint scientific projects and fruitful interdisciplinary cooperation.
