Prof. Ewelina Knapska, PhD, DSc, head of the Laboratory of Emotions Neurobiology at the Nencki Institute, is among 120 outstanding scientists who have joined the prestigious European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).

EMBO brings together more than 2,000 world-class scientists working in the field of of molecular biology and is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary. It supports the development of research in this field by funding fellowships, workshops, and grants for scientists at various stages of their careers.

EMBO members are actively involved in the organization's initiatives, serving on EMBO's Council, committees, and editorial teams. They evaluate grant applications and support the career development of young scientists.

The official welcoming of new members will take place at the annual Members' Meeting in Heidelberg.
