Professorial nomination to Daniel Wójcik

On 9th June, 2014 Bronislaw Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland, handed professorial nominations to academic teachers and workers of science and art. Among the nominees was prof. Daniel Wójcik, head of the Laboratory of Neuroinformatics at the Nencki Institute.  

The main activity of his laboratory is development of tools and models, and putting them to use to understand neural processing of sensory information and animal behavior. An important part of activities of the Laboratory of Neuroinformatics is the development of a neuroinformatics infrastructure for storage and processing of histological information and the creation of 3D brain atlases from different input sources.
