The Laboratory is focused on development and application of optical imaging techniques for biological studies at molecular, cellular and tissue levels. Biological imaging has become the main research tool at the Nencki Institute and constitutes its strategic development area for the next decade.
We are now looking for a enthusiastic and talented researcher to develop novel superresolution optical imaging method for structural and functional study of brain tissue in vitro and in vivo. Applicants should hold a PhD degree in a relevant subject area and have extensive experience in one of the following fields: biomedical optical imaging, superresolution optical microscopy, adaptive optics, Raman spectroscopy or optical coherence tomography. An outstanding academic track record is essential and at least one first author publication in a prominent journal is expected.

The positions are available from July 1, 2012.
