“Financing of early stage start-ups” Dr Marcin Szumowski

Join us for a webinar led by dr Marcin Szumowski, diving into his experience in funding early stage companies (medtech and drug development) and the long term effects of early funding decisions. Learn i.a.:

-when to choose grant funding and when is the right time for an external investor,
-what to look for when investor-hunting, apart from money.

Dr Marcin Szumowski  is a serial Entrepreneur in Life Sciences. Founded and managed several start-ups, including publicly traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange Medicalgorithmics SA (IPO: 2011, ticker MDG) and Molecure SA (IPO: 2018, ticker MOC). Life Science Angel Investor (via Life Science Innovations Fund). He has over 20 years of management experience in innovative R&D projects in the biotech and medical diagnostics fields. For the companies he has developed, Marcin has attracted private investors of more than PLN 50 milion (~11,6 M EUR) and public funds of more than PLN 150 milion (~34,8 M EUR). Since 2012 he is European Commission expert evaluating on various independent panels of the Innovative Health Initiative (formerly Innovative Medicines Initiative), the world's leading PPP in biopharmaceutical industry.
