START Program scholars at the Nencki Institute
For the 25th time, the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has awarded the START scholarships to 100 most talented young Polish scientists. One of the laureates was Monika Riegel, a Ph.D. student at the Laboratory of Brain Imaging, Neurobiology Center. Her studies with the use of functional magnetic resonance (fMRI) concern the brain mechanisms of how emotion influences the processes of encoding and retrieval in humans. Her research is supervised by Prof. Anna Grabowska and dr Artur Marchewka.
