During the 25th-27th September 2019, the first TRI-BIO-CHEM summer school was held at the Polish Academy of Sciences House of Creative Work in Wierzba, and at the Research Station of the Institute of Nencki of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Mikołajki.

The School was organized within the framework of the project: Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies TRI-BIO-CHEM "From Chemistry to Bio-innovation for a Better Life". During the School, participants listened to several lectures on the latest issues of biology and chemistry. Doctoral students pursuing their doctorates in chemical, biological, and technical sciences, presented their achievements in the form of short speeches and posters.

The TRI-BIO-CHEM interdisciplinary doctoral studies, which were established on the basis of an agreement of 3 scientific entities: The Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University and the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, are financed by the NCBiR, within the framework of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014, co-financed by the European Social Fund.
