Requirements:
- PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines,
- documented experience and achievements in the application of in the use of computational methods, especially machine learning, for analysis of molecular biology data, such as transcriptomic data (e.g. publications, abstracts, previous employment, speeches at conferences, research internships, awards, scholarships, patent applications),
- knowledge and experience in methods of statistical data analysis,
- some knowledge of molecular biology methods, especially in the field of nucleic acid isolation and RT-qPCR,
- experience in finding and testing new biomarkers is welcome,
- high motivation to work in science,
- very good command of spoken and written English,
- it is expected that the Postdoctoral Researcher will not take up other jobs during the period of employment in the project,
- doctoral degree obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project. The period of 7 years may be extended by the duration specified in the NCN regulations.

Scope of work:
- machine learning-based collection and computational analysis of miRNA profiling data obtained by RT-qPCR,
- in silico data integration to identify the miRNA-mRNA network regulated by miRNAs tested,
- support in statistical analysis of all data,
- participation in data interpretation, preparation of manuscripts for publication,
- preparation of seminars,
- direct supervision of a doctoral student profiling miRNA using RT-qPCR.
Employment conditions:

- commencement date: January 1, 2025,
- fixed-term contract, 36 months,

The researcher will have the opportunity to work in the scientifically stimulating research environment of the Nencki Institute, in one of the most modern laboratories of the Neurobiology Center. She/he will collaborate with internationally recognized experts in the field of neurodegenerative research.
