Requirements:

• Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as biology or medicine,
• Experience in laboratory research and operations, including hands-on work in molecular and cell biology techniques,
• Experience and appropriate certificates allowing to work with animals,

• Ability to effectively organize and manage resources, schedules, projects, and tasks,
• Good planning and coordination skills to keep laboratory operations running smoothly and effectively,

Project description:

Scope of tasks:

• Team management and development – participating in the recruitment, training, and supervision of students, as well as supporting their scientific and organizational development,
• Coordination of projects and research activities – supporting the planning and execution of research projects by coordinating schedules, resources, and communication within the team to ensure their smooth and successful delivery,
• Resource management – ensuring the effective use of laboratory equipment, materials, supplies, and financial resources and coordinating schedules, tasks, suppliers, documentation, and budgets to guarantee smooth operations,
• Budget planning and control – managing the laboratory budget, contributing to financial planning, and ensuring the efficient use of funds for staff, equipment, materials, and services,
• Compliance with standards and regulations – ensuring that laboratory activities comply with quality standards, safety regulations, data collection procedures, and legal requirements. Developing, implementing, and monitoring internal policies and procedures,
• Laboratory infrastructure maintenance – overseeing the daily operation of the laboratory, including equipment maintenance and calibration, chemical and waste management, and ensuring a safe, clean, productive, and respectful work environment.

Employment conditions:

• duration of contract: minimum 36 months (3 years)
• commencement of employment: December 2025.
