On 18 July 2014, Director of the Nencki Institute (IBD), Prof. dr hab. Adam Szewczyk and Dr Przemysław Fochtman, Manager of the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry, Branch Pszczyna (IPO) signed a Cooperation Agreement in the field of joint research projects and teaching activities.

IPO and IBD recognize the need for mutual scientific cooperation, among others, in the development of methods for testing the toxicity of chemicals and substances containing them, with special regard to neurotoxicity. Training activities and the development of the scientific staff of both contracting institutions are planned.

The Contracting Parties shall endeavor to raise funds for joint research projects.

Direct cooperation between the coordinators of the IPO and IBD are Prof. dr hab. Kazimierz Kita (IPO) and dr hab. Ruzanna Dżawadian and Prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Turlejski (IBD).
