Dr Ali Jawaid a member of FENS-Kavli Network of Excellence

Dr Ali Jawaid, head of the Laboratory of  Laboratory of Translational Research in Neuropsychiatric Disorders at the Nencki Institute, has become a new member of the FENS-Kavli Network of Excellence - a prestigious organisation for young scientists working in brain research,with a unique opportunity to expand their scientific horizons, influence scientific policies, and facilitate the exchange between science and society. It is jointly sponsored by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and The Kavli Foundation.

A group of 15 FENS-Kavli Fellows, representing 10 different European countries, were selected based on criteria such as scientific, organisational, and mentoring activities.

They will join the 15 scholars selected in 2021 to form an active network of 30 fellows representing 15 different countries. FKNE Fellows are selected for 2 x 2-year terms, after which they become members of the growing FKNE alumni network."

The aim of the FENS-Kavli Network of Excellence is to broaden scientific horizons, influence science policy, and promote activities that popularise science.
