Requirements:
- PhD degree in biological, biomedical, or related sciences,
- Motivation for scientific work, as evidenced by publications and/or references from the candidate’s supervisor,
- Laboratory experience in the field of cell biology and/or molecular biology,
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: fluorescence microscopy, image analysis, or data analysis,
- Doctoral degree obtained in accordance with the regulations of the National Science Centre,
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with in vitro cell culture,
- Experience in establishing, maintaining, and differentiating neuronal cultures derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs),
- Experience in advanced microscopy image analysis.
Scope of tasks:
The project investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying resilience and susceptibility to chronic stress, with a particular focus on the role of palmitoylation, especially NMDA receptor modifications, in the development of depression-like behaviors. Using animal models, in vitro cultures, human iPSCs, and postmortem brain samples from patients with depression, the study aims to identify key regulators of these processes and assess their relevance for developing new strategies for the treatment and prevention of stress-related disorders.

- Monthly salary: 8 300 PLN gross.
