Requirements:
- PhD in biology, biophysics or related sciences;
- documented research experience in molecular biology, biophysics;
- expertise in studying protein stability and signaling;
- fluent English;
- doctoral degree obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project. The period of 7 years may be extended by the duration specified in the NCN regulations.
Project description:
A postdoc position in the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology (Nencki Institute) to study immune cells in murine genetically engineered models of brain tumors and immunotherapy using single cell and spatial transcriptomics.
Scope of tasks:
A candidate will study functions of immune components of the tumor microenvironment in murine models of brain tumors. Our analyses will employ characterization of various glioma models with defined genetic backgrounds, tumor implantation, immune cell sorting, high-throughput molecular biology, single cell and spatial transcriptomics and immunotherapy.
Our project aims to provide novel insights into the molecular cellular and mechanisms underlying reprograming of the tumor microenvironment and modulate immunotherapy effectiveness.
Employment conditions:
- full time position;
- gross salary: approximately 8000 PLN (brutto/brutto) per month;
- employment period: 13 months;
- planned start date: January 1, 2024.
