On the 12-13th November 2015 the 4th IRB Barcelona PhD students symposium „Science fights back: Tackling disease to recover homeostasis” took place. Katarzyna Konarzewska, Tomasz Bednarski and Tomasz Lebitko, PhD students from the Nencki Institute, were invited by Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Barcelona (IRB) to present their recent data during the symposium.

The conference was an occasion to share scientific knowledge and experience not only among IRB students and alumni but also among invited guests from Poland and Netherlands.

The participants presented scientific results from their projects in a form of an oral presentation or a poster.

Apart from students’ presentations, participants were able to listen to the excellent European professors’ lectures and to talk to them during evening meetings.
