The annual Nencki Institute Scientific Picnic took place on 24 May 2024.
This year, it opened with a presentation by Dembowski Award winner - Professor Adam Szewczyk, entitled ‘A brief history of the Art and Science 2017-2024 projects’.
The lecture was followed by the presentation of statuettes doctorate cum laude to the Institute's graduates who defended their PhDs with a distinction between 2023 and 2024:

Prizes and distinctions were also received by persons particularly involved in popularizing science.
Special prizes were awarded to:

Distinctions in the form of diplomas were awarded to:

The official part was followed by a picnic in the Institute's gardens, during which staff, alumni, and invited guests celebrated and discussed until late afternoon.
