Seminar by Dr Bruce Conway at the Nencki Institute

Dr Bruce Conway is biologist and pharmacologist with over 18 years of experience in both large and small pharmaceutical organizations. While at Johnson & Johnson, Bruce served as the project championed the progression of four compounds into the clinic, one of which resulted in Invokana/Canagliflozin as an approved treatment for Type 2 Diabetes. As the Senior Director of Biology and Pharmacology at the Institutes for Pharmaceutical Discovery, Bruce oversaw the scientific operations of the In Vitro Biology, Pharmacology and DMPK Teams. He is the Founder of CPG Consulting and currently serves as the Executive in Residence at Columbia University Medical Center. He is an inventor on nine US patents and an author on ~ 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and reviews. Bruce received his Ph.D. in pharmacology from the Medical College of Virginia and did his post-doctoral training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
