The chairman of the Polish Academy of Science Professor Michael Kleiber took part in the conference as well as the representatives of MNiSW NCBir, directors and workers of the scientific institutes PAN, representing the consortium RCIN and the library workers of higher schools.

During the conference there will presented the output to date of the digital repository of the scientific institutes. In the Repository which is available online at www.rcin.org.pl, one can find books, magazines, articules, old prints, manuscipts, archives, files, maps as well as certain photogragh selected from the polish collections of scientific research units. So far 40,000 positions taking in 11 milion pages have been digitized. From the beginning of the existence of the RCIN platform, that is from 2010 5 milions uses from all over the world have used its collections and also around 3 thousand various scientific institutes including Polish and foreign ones.

The Nencki Institutes Library is also participating in the RCIN project digitizing their own selected collections: old prints,publishers of the institute,books and magazines from the XIX century and the first half of the century, manusripts, enriching the resources of the digital Library Federation, Europeany, Woldcat etc.
