It is a pleasure to announce that the PhD thesis by Monika Kusio-Kobialka has been honoured by the Polish Biochemical Society and Merck Sp.z o.o. with the W. Drabikowski Award for the best thesis in 2013. The thesis entitled: “Prosurvival mechanisms activated by BCR-ABL in chronic myeloid leukemia cells; role of the PERK-eIF2alpha signaling pathway and acetylation of p53 protein” has been done under scientific supervision of dr hab. Katarzyna Piwocka  with supervisor prof. Ewa Sikora.

The award will be officially presented during Inauguration of the BIO2014 Congress (49th Congress of the Polish Biochemical Society), 9th of September, at 4 p.m. at the Auditorium Maximum of the Warsaw University.
