More than 600 foreign researchers have come to Poland in the last decade. Mostly from Ukraine, Germany and India. Within the framework of the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) program, 34 scientists from around the world have accepted the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology

Mobility is inscribed in the researcher's profession. Foreign conference trips, participation in international research projects or grants obtained for research in other countries are activities without which there is no scientific research at the highest level. Such conditions are provided to our employees and under such conditions we accept foreign researchers – argues prof. Adam Szewczyk, the director of the Nencki Institute

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program has been in operation since 1997. During this time, it has supported the career of 135,000 of the best and most promising researchers from around the world. Scholarships are awarded for a period of one to three years. The grants are received by scientists who already have a PhD, or 4 years’ experience in research work.

This grant program which is important for scientists is financed by the EU's Horizon 2020 program.
