The Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS is seeking a candidate for the position of: PhD Student in the Laboratory of Host-Microbiota Interactions

Type of recruitment:  FNP First TEAM FENG, project “New strategies for probiotic supplementation in the prevention and treatment of asthma” nr FENG.02.02-IP.05-0106/23

Requirements:

• Status of a PhD Student since 01/01/2025,
• 1-year experience in laboratory work,
• Experience in microbiological cultures,
• Experience in animal experimentation (with appropriate certificates),
• Experience in molecular biology techniques,
• proficiency in English.

Scope of tasks:

• Cultivating bacterial species from the mouse and human microbiotas,
• Testing the influence of chosen bacterial species on a severity of allergic airway inflammation (mouse models).

Employment conditions:

• Type of contract: PhD Student Fellowship,
• Gross fellowship monthly remuneration: 5 000 PLN/month,
• Duration of contract: 4 years,
• Starting date: 1st January 2025.
