Project description:
A post-doc will be recruited under the funding awarded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (the TOP200 NAWA Programme) to investigate the role of tumor necrosis factor 2 in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). To achieve the goal of this project, state-of-the-art methods like CRISPR technology will be employed to perturb the expression and/or activity of TNFR2. Single-cell multi-omics and flow cytometry technologies will allow us to dissect the impacts of TNFR2 perturbations on CLL. Human CLL cell lines, experimental mouse model and primary human materials collected from voluntary CLL donors with informed consent will be used.
Scope of tasks:
- Co-develop the scientific concept and detailed methodology across all of the project pre-defined objectives, in close collaboration with Dr. Liang and the other members of the Liang Lab.
- Refine experimental strategies in consideration of the project pre-defined milestones, and ensure the timely delivery of project outputs.
- Plan, conduct, and optimize laboratory experiments aligned with the project pre-defined goals. Responsibilities include sample collection, processing, and preparation for further molecular, cellular, and biochemical analyses, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring high-quality experimental standards.
- Independently analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare figures and graphical representations of results, and contribute to internal reports and project deliverables.
- Actively participate in the dissemination of results through presentation of research findings at national and international scientific conferences.
- Lead the writing and revision of manuscripts submitted to peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide scientific support and mentoring to the PhD student(s) working in the Liang Lab, assisting with experimental planning, troubleshooting, and data interpretation, thereby contributing to a collaborative and productive research environment.
