Requirements:
- PhD degree in a relevant field,
- Research experience in the field of neuroscience, immunology or microbiome,
- Extensive training in animal experimentation (especially mouse models of neuroinflammation),
- Excellent skills in cell culture (especially organoids) and flow cytometry,
- Doctoral degree obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project. The period of 7 years may be extended by the duration specified in the NCN regulations.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
Project description:
You will explore the therapeutic potential of the gut microbiome in the context of multiple sclerosis (MS). You will screen candidate microbial metabolites using brain organoids and a mouse model of MS, and decipher their mechanisms of action. In addition to performing experiments, you will develop new directions for the project, train/supervise junior staff members, and write manuscripts. We offer a dynamic work environment that will prepare you to become a fully independent researcher. An employer's gross salary of PLN 11’667/month (ca. 7'000 net) is offered, as well as a medical care package and social benefits.
Employment conditions:
- full-time employment contract,
- gross monthly remuneration: 11 667 PLN/month (employer’s gross, net approx. 7000 PLN/month;
- duration of contract: 2 years (3 month probation period),
- the starting date: negotiable, earliest 1st March 2024
