12.04.22 r. at the Embassy of the French Republic in Warsaw, Prof. Jerzy Duszyński received the dignity and insignia of Officer of French Academic Palms (L'Ordre des Palmes Académiques). The decoration was carried out by Frédéric Billet, Ambassador of France in Poland, who in his speech emphasized the outstanding contribution of the honored to the development of French-Polish relations in the academic and scientific field.
The Order of Academic Palms (L'Ordre des Palmes Académiques) is one of the oldest civilian French designations. It is awarded to individuals active in the scientific and academic community who promote science and culture around the world. Established in 1808 by Napoleon Bonaparte as an honorary title awarded to distinguished professors of the University of Paris. In its present form established in 1955.
