The National Science Centre grants for the Nencki Institute

The National Science Centre has announced the ranking lists of projects approved for funding in the OPUS 24,  SONATA 18 and PRELUDIUM-BIS calls. Scientists from the Nencki Institute received financial support for 7 research projects:

OPUS 24

dr Anna Beroun - Unraveling the Enigmatic Silent Synapses

prof. dr hab. Paweł Dobrzyń - Stearoyl-CoA desaturase as a novel regulator of cardiomyocyte maturation

dr Jan Kamiński - The role of the Medial Temporal Lobe in Working Memory Maintenance: A Human Single-Neuron Study

dr hab. Ewelina Knapska - Central amygdala neuronal circuits mediating social and food rewards

prof. dr hab. Urszula Wojda - Blood plasma microRNA profile as a basis for detecting Alzheimer's disease and dementia risk in pre-symptomatic individuals

dr Liliia Lehka - Unconventional myosine VI as a novel regulator of myogenic differentiation and regeneration of skeletal muscles via modulation of mitochondria homeostasis and redox status

dr hab. Katarzyna Piwocka - Specific immune signatures of T cells as biomarkers of the post-COVID Syndrome and predictors of long-term health dysfunctions and possible therapeutic interventions
