During the meeting Prof. L. Wojtczak presented a short history of the Foundation and its mission, Prof. S. Kasicki laid out the plans for the Foundation’s activities, and Prof. L. Kuźnicki outlined the achievements of Marceli Nencki, the patron of the Foundation.
A series of lectures, which will be sponsored by the Foundation, opened with the lecture entitled “Theory of Biology” by Prof. Jerzy Dzik. A video of this lecture will be available soon on the Foundation website: www.nenckifoundation.eu.
During the meeting the Partners of Foundation – “Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego” (University of Warsaw Press) and Polish Scientific Publishers PWN – presented their biological sciences books.
