Our goal was to familiarize the participants with confocal systems capabilities as well as with the results which were obtained by using a variety of imaging techniques.
The workshop was attended by scientists from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
In the theoretical part of the meeting lectures were given by specialists in advanced imaging confocal techniques. They presented the results of the experiments on a variety of cell types: neurons, microglia cells, neural stem cells, Xenopus eggs, ciliates.
During the practical part of the workshop different confocal systems were presented: TCS SP8 and TCS SP5 STED from Leica Microsystems and Zeiss LSM780 from Zeiss Jena.
