Christmas Meeting at the Nencki Institute

On Friday, December 12, the Nencki Institute PAS held its annual Christmas party, bringing together representatives of the entire Institute community.

The meeting was attended by research and administrative staff, PhD students, retired employees, as well as invited guests and friends of the Institute. A special highlight was the presence of Mr. Piotr Karsz, the great-great-great-grandnephew of Marceli Nencki, the patron of our institution, which gave the event a unique, symbolic dimension.

The meeting was opened by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń, who summarized the year ending at the Institute and wished everyone gathered there all the best for the coming New Year.

Next, Wiktoria Laprus, representative of the PhD Student Council, took the floor to present the results of this year's edition of the charity campaign “Santa Claus for Seniors.” This initiative once again confirmed that the Nencki Institute community is united not only by its commitment to research, but also by its sensitivity to social needs.

Later in the meeting, participants had the opportunity to celebrate the upcoming holidays together. As is tradition, there were also Christmas gifts.

Board of directors and employees of the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS wish everyone a healthy, peaceful, and joyful Christmas and prosperity in the coming New Year.
