Dr Liang is one of the recipients of the first edition of the TOP200 NAWA programme, aimed at researchers from universities ranked among the world’s top 200 who choose to continue developing their research careers in Poland.
In Warsaw, Dr Liang is establishing the Laboratory of Hematopoiesis, where he will investigate the role of the TNFR2 receptor in both normal blood cell formation and leukemia. A better understanding of this mechanism may eventually help researchers target leukemia cells more effectively while also developing methods for producing healthy blood cells outside the body for potential future use in cell-based therapies.
This marks another step forward in the development of cancer research at the Nencki Institute.
Congratulations!
The programme is implemented under project no. BPN/TOP/2025/1/00017/U/00001.
