Prof. Jerzy Duszynski has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This is in recognition of his commitment to helping Ukraine and the scientists there.
Doctor honoris causa is the highest scientific distinction in Ukraine. It is awarded by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NANU) for a significant contribution to the development of science and international scientific cooperation.
Prof. Anatoly Zagorodny, president of NANU, honored Prof. Jerzy Duszynski, president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Marcia McNutt, president of the American Academy of Sciences (NAS), with this title.
This is an appreciation of the commitment to help Ukraine that has flowed from Poland and the US.
